Gojira To Make Whale Metal

French progressive metal band Gojira will be releasing a 5 song EP for Whales.

The band will be releasing the EP for the anti whaling organization Sea Shepard. Known for their environmentally conscious lyrics and being France's most bad ass band, it seems like a very positive and logical move. The news report (in french, with subtitles) can be viewed below, where the band could be seen jamming and having a short interview.

The EP will also include guest musicians from the international metal scene.

Gojira were initially planning to release their follow up to 2008's highly successful "The Way of All Flesh", in 2011, plans seem to have changed.
