BareBonesMusic.com sat down recently with Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro of the band LACUNA COIL at the beginning of a stretch of their current North American tour. Evil G. spoke with the duo about their current record SHALLOW LIFE, which was released in the U.S. in April of 2009, and how they keep their songs fresh and exciting for both the band and the fans after touring in support of the record for over a year.
They talked about the dynamic of writing songs with 2 lead vocalist and how they make that work best for the band. Also why they don't write songs in their native Italian language but choose to write in English. Cristina answers the question of whether or not she feels like a role model to women who like or want to get into metal and hard rock scene.
Cristina and Andy discuss how audiences react to them when they have toured with such varying acts as Seether, Hellyeah and Five Finger Death Punch to bands such as In Flames, Dimmu Borgir and DevilDriver and finally working on new material and the expectations of the ever changing music business.
