Photos From Dio's Memorial Service Posted Online

Pictures of Ronnie James Dio's memorial service which took place at the Hall Of Liberty at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles, featured performances by QUEENSRŸCHE singer Geoff Tate, former DEEP PURPLE bassist Glenn Hughes, ANTHRAX vocalist Joey Belladonna among others.

About the planned protest at the memorial by the fringe Christian congregation of Kansas' Westboro Baptist Church, according to one eyewitness, they were "cordoned off outside of Forest Lawn grounds proper and were small in number with an at least equal number of counter-protesters."

According to the Associated Press, hundreds were gathered in the scorching heat outside the auditorium to watch the memorial on monitors. While over a 1,200 fans were able to attend the memorial.

There are currently two tribute concerts being worked on, called - Ronnie James Dio "Stand Up And Shout" Memorial Concerts - which will take place in London and Los Angeles this fall. List of performers for those shows are not yet confirmed.
