Behemoth Cancel All Upcoming Tour Dates: Front Man Nergal Falls Ill

On August 5th, Polish extreme metal icons Behemoth announced that they will not be able to take part of the Finnish edition of Sonisphere, due to "health issues."

On August 8th, the band announced that they will be canceling all upcoming tour dates due to front man and mastermind Nergal falling ill, and being rushed to a hospital, an official reason has yet to be announced, but Polish news site SE.pl are reporting that the 33 year old front man was taken to the hematology division of Gdansk Medical University Hospital, Poland.

Today, Nergal (Real name: Adam "Nergal"Darski) posted an official statement about his hospitalization stating:
"I feel good and strong, my mind is focused,"

"I can assure all of you that when we return, I'll be stronger than death, and we'll reschedule every tour as soon as logistics allow."

Concerning the rest of the bands on the bill. Swedish black metallers WATAIN announced that despite Behemoth canceling all their shows in the U.S. that:
"THERE IS NO ESCAPE, WE ARE COMING."

Behemoth will be premiering a new video for the song "Alas, The World Is Upon Me" from the band's latest crushing studio effort "Evangelion" which was shot recently and will premier in the coming days.
