Alex Lopez, drummer, for SUICIDE SILENCE spoke with BareBonesMusic.com during this year's Warped Tour. Alex spoke with Evil G. about what it means to the band to be on the tour and where they think they fit within the numerous bands on Warped Tour. He discusses the crowds, off-day shows, the release of the new "Body Bag" Edition of No Time To Bleed, and what fans can get on it.
Alex also talks about their upcoming North American fall headlining tour, "Time To Bleed," with My Children My Bride, The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, Molotov Solution and Conducting From The Grave. Mitch Lucker (vocals) and Mark Heylmun (guitar) of SUICIDE SILENCE sat down with BareBonesMusic.com. The guys talk about their record No Time To Bleed, working with renowned producer Machine and how he expanded their songwriting skills, the dislike of being labeled in the "deathcore" "metalcore" genre or labeling their music as anything other than heavy metal. They discuss the growth between, their self-titled EP, The Cleansing and No Time To Bleed. Mitch, discusses his process of writing lyrics, not focusing solely of negative issues, some of the unusual subjects that he thinks about and how his daughter has changed his life. Mark talks about how bands like LAMB OF GOD, SLIPKNOT, MUDVAYNE, and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY helped pave the way for young bands like SUICIDE SILENCE and the guys also talk about the influx of young kids as fans of heavy music keeping the metal scene fresh and growing.
