COREY TAYLOR Gets Into The Holiday Spirit
Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman and all around ass kicker Corey Taylor, decided to keep himself busy during a gap in Stone Sour's recent UK tour, by heading to Metropolis Studios in London to record his first Christmas song.What's even more interesting is that the song is a heavy contender for this year's #1 Christmas single in the UK. Some of you might be familiar with the insanity that arose last year when Rage Against The Machine's "Killing In The Name" battled it out with X Factor's Joe "Mc'Something" for the spot, and ultimately crushed and dusted off the glorified karaoke singer.
Now's your chance to once again piss off those mainstream fatcats with a big'ol Corey Taylor "F You" by joining the facebook page, and making sure you purchase the digital single through your favorite online retailer on December 12th, with the announcement of the winner being made on the 19th. All proceeds are going to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Update: I just got a heads up, that there's also a group trying to get Pantera's Walk to number 1. 2010 is certainly the heaviest year for the holidays, and I would totally flip! If Pantera wins it. Metal needs a win after all the tragic losses it suffered this year.
