MESHUGGAH Talk New Album

[PRESS RELEASE]

In an exclusive new video interview with Decibel Magazine, MESHUGGAH drummer Tomas Haake and vocalist Jens Kidman discuss the band’s follow-up 2008’s Billboard-charting album, obZen.

Regarding the approach to their new music, Haake offers:

“… Maybe not try to be as anal about every single little hit [that] has to be super-tight but be more focused on the vibe of a track and let some of those tiny errors slip through. I think that kinda breeds a bit of life into a song.”

In 2008, obZen debuted at #59 on the American Top 200 Billboard chart, clinched the #14 spot on the iTunes Top Rock Albums chart, was the #1 Most Added metal album on the CMJ Loud Rock and FMQB radio charts, and set a new Swedish MySpace pre-listening promotion record for over a quarter of a million album streams in seven days.
