Hailing from Kerala, India; CHAOS was formed in 2004 and became officially active in 2005.

The band has played shows across India to promote their brand of old school thrash metal, leading up to the release of their debut full length album, Violent Redemption (their first LP, and the culmination of 8 years work) available now for streaming.

Back in September, the band released their debut video for the song "Game" which we posted about, here.. That was the first time I got a chance to listen to CHAOS and I was very impressed by the band's chops.

Vocalist JK seems to be very comfortable at belting out high pitched screams of terror, and keeps the pace going through out the song's chorus.
The video showed off the band's strong presence and skillful song writing abilities. Since then I've been looking forward to hearing their debut album. We also had the privilege of featuring the band on our latest compilation (Volume 3).

CHAOS is a proud member of the new wave of thrash metal bands coming from India; joining the genre's revivalists from Europe and North America.
Similar to their fellow cohorts, CHAOS are set to revive the thrash metal scene in their native land, and to remind the rest of the world why this music kicks so much ass!

Violent Redemption is an 11 track punch to the teeth! The release is relentless and shows no signs of mercy to say the least. Songs like "Torn" and the title track showcase the band's ultra-fast picking prowess. The album is filled with vintage thrash metal characteristics. No modern influences are thrown in the mix. It's all pure thrash metal meant for nonstop headbanging, with "Heaven's Gate" considerably being the radio-friendly song on the album.

"Torn" is a massive banger, from the get-go the song fires off a vintage riff setting a raw and uncompromising vibe for the entire album.
Drummer Rohit gives an exceptional performance on Violent Redemption; striking at perfect times to provide guitarist Nikhil with a solid backbone for his outstanding shredding abilities.

The album was produced by Keshav Dhar (Skyharbor) who definitely did a great job at making CHAOS shine on Violent Redemption; ultimately producing a well rounded album with crisp quality.

In conclusion, CHAOS is a blazing act of guitar riffs and punishing drum fills, the band delivers exactly what their name stands for. Frantic thrash metal, set to wreak havoc!
