AMON AMARTH Reveal Cover Art And Title For New Album
Swedish metal beasts, Amon Amarth, have announced the title and revealed the artwork for their upcoming album, titled Deceiver of the Gods, which is set for release this June via Metal Blade Records. Deceiver of the Gods will be the bands eighth studio album and is the follow up to the 2011's Sutur Rising.
Artwork can be seen below.
The album was produced by Andy Sneap (Arch Enemy, Exodus and Megadeth fame). The band explained why they chose to go with Sneap stating: “We were looking for a change, and Andy has been in our thoughts for some years now. After meeting with him, we felt a good connection. We think this is going to be a ripper.”
The band had also the following to say about the album artwork: “The cover depicts the last battle between the Gods and Loki who arrives at Vigridr field accompanied by the army of the dead during Ragnarok, the end of the world.”
According to Metal Injection, the band will release a new song this Monday. Stay tuned!
